Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences; Full Professor at the TSU Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences; Academician at the Georgian Academy of Sciences; he has been awarded by the Ministry of Education of Georgia for his contribution to the sphere of education. Tsintsadze is an honorary member of Hiroshima University (Japan). He has been awarded an honored scientist title, the Medal of Ivane Javakhishvili and the International Khwarazmian Prize; he is a member of scientific-steering committees of numerous international conferences; founder of the Tbilisi International School of Plasma Physics and its Director since 1972. He was the director of the Plasma College of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in 1987-1993. Scientific interests include: kinetic theory of macroscopic systems; theory of nonlinear phenomena in plasma; strong laser effects on the environment; quantum perms; and investigation of the properties of Bose gases; he is the author of over 300 publications, most of which have been published in famous European and U.S. journals or in the collections of international conferences.
