TSU to Begin Spring Semester of 2019-2020 Academic Year on March 16 instead of March 2

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will begin the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year on March 16 instead of March 2 as part of the measures to prevent possible spread of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). 

The decision is based on the recommendations provided by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, as well as the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

Disinfection works are being carried out in all educational buildings of TSU to prevent possible spread of COVID-19.  

TSU Chancellor Lasha Saghinadze said that disinfection works have already been carried out in the 1st, 10thand 11th Buildings, as well as central library building and student dormitories.
