TSU at International Education Fair

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) was presented at the International Education Fair with an original stand. Rector of TSU, George Sharvashidze, deans of the TSU faculties, academics and students attended the opening event.
The guests of the fair received comprehensive information about the TSU faculties, educational programs (Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs), exchange programs, scholarships, sport and cultural activities, etc.

Rector George Sharvashidze said that Tbilisi State University offers students over 200 educational programs. “TSU is implementing joint projects with many universities. What is important, our university offers students exchange programs, mobility to European universities and, certainly, employment,” the Rector said.

“Similar exhibitions help would-be-students make decisions. Such exhibitions enable young people, who have not made decisions on their future career development, to get acquainted with various universities, professions and only afterwards make a choice. Personally I am a frequent guest of similar events,” one of the would-be-students said.

TSU Professors Teimuraz Gogsadze and Tamar Gagoshidze delivered public lectures on the sideline of the International Education Fair.

TSU is ranked among top 2 percent of best universities worldwide (The U.S. News & World Report 2019); 2017 - ranked 359th; TSU is the only university from the South Caucasus, which is represented in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019; in Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities, TSU is ranked No. 151-200, being number one in the region; TSU is leading in the South Caucasus region by number of students, academic and administrative staffs, who will study and improve their skills at European universities within the framework of programs financed by ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility /ICM/ in 2018-2020; TSU has over 200 international partner universities in about 50 countries of the world; there are 21 foreign language BA, MA and PhD programs at TSU; up to 22 000 students (including over 600 foreign nationals) are studying on about 240 educational programs; 8 million books and over 22 million inventions/patents at TSU libraries; students and academics have access to international online academic databases and resources; modern learning spaces – 16 research institutes; up to 85 learning labs, including FabLab, SMART|Lab, SMART|AtmoSim-Lab, Bloomberg Lab; Physics and Chemistry Labs modernized with the support from San Diego University; Multimedia Center; archeological excavation site at Grakliani Hill; fine arts studio, etc.; TSU offers opportunities for active student, cultural and sport life; about GEL 1.4 million was allocated for student projects in 2017-2018; TSU has a modern student dormitory; the university has over 300 000 alumni.
TSU is traditionally the most in-demand university in Georgia according to the first choice.
