A delegation of Georgian scientists visited Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II on July 27. They congratulated the Patriarch on the upcoming Angel’s Day and handed over memorable gifts to him.
The problems persisting in the fields of education and science as well as interesting initiatives were discussed at the meeting. Rector of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Academician Vladimer Papava; Vice President of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Academician Roin Metreveli, and a foreign member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of Strategic Studies of the Caucasus, Eldar Ismailov attended the meeting with the Patriarch.
