Winners of 74th Student Scientific Conference Awarded at TSU

A ceremony of awarding the winners of the 74th student scientific conference was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on December 25. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava, students and professors attended the event.

TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said: “The University was established as a scientific-educational institution. Its founders gave priority to science, research. Science cannot develop if a student does not stand beside a researcher. A tradition has already been established at our university – student involvement in scientific activities is extremely important. Just therefore we developed the regulations on students’ scientific circle that will promote their involvement in research activities. The scientific conference is a kind of challenge for the students. Just these students represent the future of our university.”

34 sections were established at the university faculties for the conference; conference schedule was also developed. Students were actively involved in the work of the jury. Along with professors, several representatives of the society of students and young scientists also became members of the commission per each section. A total of 367 students participated in the conference.

The best student works revealed by the jury will be published. Honorary diplomas will be awarded to the winners of the conference.
