Georgian Finance Minister Delivers Public Lecture at TSU

Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri delivered a public lecture on Political Ideologies and Transformation of Macroeconomic Policy in Georgia at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on October 2. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava, academic staff, students and invited guests attended the lecture.

TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said that “there is no science without scientific seminars, where scientists should appear before the public and present their views. Just therefore these seminars were restored. Finance Minister Khaduri presented a report, which was a mixture of theory and practice. We believe that these seminars will revitalize economic opinion and further increase the interest of all those researchers, who are involved in the sphere of economy and related issues.”

“Communication with the Tbilisi State University and my colleagues, who have a huge theoretical experience, is very important for me. Sharing their opinions and presenting our visions to them is also very important. I have the Council of Advisers, which unites a lot of economists; but it is more important to share our opinions directly with broader society, because we receive a lot of interesting remarks, questions, opinions from them that will help us improve our economic policy,” Finance Minister, TSU Professor Nodar Khaduri said.

The public lecture was held in frames of a permanent scientific seminar ‘Political Economic Discussion with Lado Papava.’
