Georgia Window to Europe for Kazakhstan

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Georgia, Yermukhamet Yertysbayev, visited the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University to discuss the Georgian-Kazakh relations.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan delivered a public lecture on a topic: “Kazakh Road – 2050: Common Goal, Common Interests, Common Future.” TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava, students, academic staff attended the public lecture.

TSU Rector Vladimer Papava awarded Ambassador Yertysbayev with the TSU Medal and noted: “Kazakhstan is not only a friend of Georgia, but it is also a strategic partner. It is important for our country that Kazakhstan invests money in Georgia’s economy, respects Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

“The South Caucasus transport corridor is very important for Kazakhstan. Although Kazakhstan is rich in mineral resources, we have no corridor: we are surrounded by Russia, China and Muslim world. So, the Batumi port, which has been taken over by the Kazakh company for 49 years, is our window to Europe,” Ambassador Yertysbayev said.

By the end of the public lecture the Kazakh Ambassador answered the questions from TSU students and academic staff.
