Presentation of First Edition of Journal of Young Researchers

A presentation of the first edition of Journal of Young Researchers was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on July 14. TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Tamar Dolbaia, professors, lecturers and students attended the event.

“Youth involvement in research activities is very important for our university. Therefore, any initiative coming from young people and related to increased research activities will definitely be supported by the university. I am glad that students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences took this initiative,” TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said.

“We have been working over creation of this journal for several months already. I think that we have reached our goal. The first edition contains six articles by PhD students, which have already undergone internal review and have been sent for external review. This is a very important phenomenon for formation of young researchers; they acquire academic research skills to further use them in their future research activities,” Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Tamar Dolbaia said.

Journal of Young Researchers is an electronic, open-access peer-reviewed journal for students, which publishes the high quality research articles in social sciences.
The journal will help students acquire scientific and research skills as well as present their works to the wider academic community.

Journal of Young Researchers is bilingual and it is issued in Georgian and English languages twice a year.
