Last Call: International Symposium for Young Scholars in the Humanities

Considering the request of Doctoral students and young scholars the application submission deadline has been postponed to August 14.

Dear PhD students and young scientists!

The Faculty of Humanities at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is holding an International Symposium for Young Scholars in the Humanities. The goals of this symposium are to foster and promote the research of young scholars, and to engage Humanities and Kartvelologian Studies in international academic discourse. 
Specialized thematic forums, as well as workshops, will be held within the framework of the Young Scholars International Symposium, The theme of the first forum is translation. The symposium will address both specialized and interdisciplinary scholarly issues. 
PhD students and young scholars are invited to participate in the symposium.
The symposium will be held on November 20-23, 2017.

Sections of the symposium:
1. History and archaeology
2. Language and literature
3. Philosophy, ethics and religion
4. Art and culture
5. Interdisciplinary research

Working languages: Georgian, English, German, Russian

Time limit: 
Presentation: 20 minutes
Discussion: 10 minutes

Please submit your applications for participation in the symposium and abstracts by 14 August, 2017 to: youthscience@tsu.ge

Font: Sylfaen, Times New Roman
Font size: 12 pt
Spacing: 1.5 lines
Length: maximum 1 page (250 words)


Abstracts will be submitted to the organizing committee. Participants will be notified on August 30, 2017. 
Participants will be awarded a certificate following the concluding session of the symposium.

  Printed material from the symposium

A banquet for symposium participants is planned on the opening evening and will be held at a restaurant.
