International Day of the Portuguese Language

In May the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) celebrates the International Day of the Portuguese Language. Georgia obtained the status of Associate Observer of the CPLP in 2014, and this year the CPLP also commemorated its 20th Anniversary. For all of these reasons, the TSU CAMÕES – Portuguese Language Centre at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University organized a week-long program (2nd through 7th May) with cultural activities ranging from conferences to film screenings and concerts.

On the 5th May the main event took place, at the TSU Event Hall, with a concert by Cátia Alhandra and José Alegre of Fad’Nu.
