TERRA CHÃ/FLATLAND at the SCCDEAF 2016

A Portuguese performance is opening this year’s South Caucasus Contemporary Dance & Experimental Art Festival in Tbilisi on the 12th June: TERRA CHÃ/FLATLAND by the Dance Company is CDCE – Companhia de Dança Contemporânea de Évora.

TERRA CHÃ
"FLATLAND"
The expression of the land, the voice of the men, the strength that binds them, the weight, the density of the air, the void, the silence, a sense of togetherness and of loneliness. Extremes and their limits. Love and disaffection. Florbela Espanca’s sonnets, which speak of beauty and the soul of Alentejo. The fusion between Ólafur Arnalda’s music and Cante Alentejano, seen from a contemporary point of view. The coreography builds concrete and abstract paths in both the voice and the environment of Alentejo.

Direction and Coreography NÉLIA PINHEIRO

This initiative has the support of the Camões Institute/Instituto Camões through the Portuguese Language Center at TSU. Portuguese language students, to reserve your free tickets, send an e-mail to Vera.Peixoto@tsu.ge
