Student Self-Governance Elections

Elections of the 7th convocation of Student Self-Governance will be held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on November 16, 2018. TSU will directly elect 140 delegates.  

Students of all levels are eligible to participate in the elections.

Candidates will be able to undergo registration and receive registration forms from November 5 through November 9, from 10am to 6pm (break from 1pm to 2pm) at the Central Election Commission of Student Self-Governance located at Ilia Chavchavadze Ave., 1, TSU, 1st Building, room No. 211.

Registration of independent candidates:
To undergo registration at the Central Election Commission, an independent candidate has to submit:

a)    An identification document and its copy;
b)    A document certifying that he/she is studying at the TSU faculty, where he/she plans to run;
c)    Signatures of 2 percent of students (eligible voters) with active status from the faculty, where a candidate plans to run.    

Registration of student organizations:
1.    To undergo registration at the Central Election Commission, a student organization (coalition of student organizations) has to submit:
a)    Signatures of 30 percent of students (eligible voters) with active status from the faculty, where its candidate plans to run.    
b)    An extract from the Registry of Entrepreneurial and Non-entrepreneurial (Non-commercial) Legal Entities; a copy of the statute; in case of a coalition of student organizations - an extract of each student organization united in the coalition from the Registry of Entrepreneurial and Non-entrepreneurial (Non-commercial) Legal Entities and copies of statutes.
2.    A student organization (coalition of student organizations), which already has an elected delegate in student self-governance of a respective faculty, does not need to collect supporters’ signatures.
3.    A registered student organization (coalition of student organizations) has the right to nominate as many candidates to any election district of the faculty, as the number of mandates in this district.
