Language Ambassadors to Give Enjoyable Lessons at Schools

Students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University have become Language Ambassadors within the framework of the educational project implemented in partnership with TBC Bank. In frames of the project “Let’s Think in Georgian,” students will give enjoyable lessons at 1500 schools within a month and a half.

53 student volunteers from the Tbilisi State University and regional higher educational institutions were revealed through the competition.
The project aims at encouraging young generation to think, read and write in Georgian.

Lessons involve intensive games, through which adolescents will see how frequently distorted language, barbarisms and loanwords are used in the spoken language.

“Let’s Think in Georgian” is the first stage of the Georgian language festival implemented with the support of the Write in Georgian project, in partnership with TBC Bank.

The project partners are the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics.

The following persons have become Language Ambassadors: Elza Asanidze, Nana Tokhvadze, Mariam Motsikulashvili, Mariam Gobianidze, Mariam Tatuashvili, Salome Chinchaladze, Ani Nozadze, Ana Badalashvili and Ana Jananashvili.
