Meeting with Visiting Exchange Students

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) hosted an acquaintance meeting with foreign students visiting through exchange programs. Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze welcomed exchange students, who arrived from various universities of Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Turkey, Czech Republic and Kazakhstan.
 
During the meeting foreign students familiarized themselves with all the opportunities provided by the Tbilisi State University in terms of educational, cultural and sport activities. The representatives of Erasmus+ National Office Georgia, Erasmus Student Network and TSU Self-Governance participated in the event.
 
Tea Gergedava, head of the TSU Foreign Relations Department, explained that the present group involves students from about 20 exchange programs, who will attend English-language program courses and then transfer credits to their native universities. Foreign students will study at TSU during the 2017-2018 fall semester within the framework of Erasmus+ program and bilateral cooperation. Presently, over 400 degree-seeking students are registered at TSU.
 
By the end of the meeting, foreign students received symbolic gifts and were shown around the university.
