President of TSU Student Self-Governance Elected

Bakhva Kvirikashvili has been elected as the President of Student Self-Governance of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU). 116 out of 177 delegates cast their ballots in favor of Kvirikashvili. Three Vice Presidents of Student Self-Governance - Giorgi Okitashvili, Irakli Murgulia and Salome Topuria, as well as Chairman of the Council of Advisers, Shota Kezherashvili have also been elected through open ballot.

The TSU Central Election Commission said that the elections were held in a calm atmosphere without any violations. Only one ballot paper was annulled.

TSU Student Self-Governance Elections were held on November 25. TSU students directly elected 140 delegates (20 delegates from each of seven faculties) that was preceded by amending the rule of electing the members (delegates) of the TSU Self-Governance.
