Head of the Institute of Caucasiology, Tsira Baramidze said that Arnold Chikobava laid the foundation for the Kartvelian-Caucasiological school. “Arnold Chikobava is a great linguist, theoretician. He is the author of an eight-volume explanatory dictionary. The today’s event is just dedicated to his 120th anniversary. 2018 is an anniversary year. A lot of important events are planned, including an international linguistic symposium in autumn,” Baramidze said.
