Autumn Legend 2015

Three winners of a student literary competition Autumn Legend were revealed: the best work was created by Ani Gigashvili; Mariam Chumburidze and Beka Beradze became the winners of the second and third places.

An improvisation round of a student literary competition Autumn Legend was launched at Royal Batoni in Kakheti on October 24. The student literary competition – a joint project of the Tbilisi State University and the company Geocell – was held for already the seventh time in 2015.

10 finalists participated in the improvisation round. They had 12 hours to create new works on the topic offered by the jury. Among the finalists there were students from the Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University, Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University, Tbilisi State Medical University and Akaki Tsereteli State University.

All the three winners received pecuniary prizes at GEL 1000, GEL 700 and GEL 500, respectively. This year the jury consisted of six members: writers Dato Turashvili, Teona Dolenjashvili, Maka Ldokonen, Toresa Mossy, writer and head of publishing house Intellect, Zviad Kvaratskhelia and last years’ winner, Keti Meparidze.

Along with the main competition, all those willing to participate in the competition can join an online literary marathon. 439 contestants have already undergone registration. With the help of Geocell’s special application, registered contestants will create their works on the same topic offered to the finalists. A winner of the marathon will receive a special gift from the company.

Media coverage is provided by Liberali magazine and online publication, which will publish the winner’s work.
