Tbilisi, Baku State Universities Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Giorgi Sharvashidze, Minister of Education and Science, Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Teimuraz Sharashenidze visited Baku State University on April 20 and met with Rector Abel Maharramov. The sides discussed the issue of higher education in the two counties and outlined the plans of future cooperation.
Rectors of Tbilisi and Baku State Universities, Giorgi Sharvashidze and Abel Maharramov, respectively, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, under which the two universities will develop exchange programs and organize joint research activities for students.
By the end of the meeting, Rector Sharvashidze handed over the TSU Anniversary Medal to his Azerbaijani counterpart.
