TSU Students Sport and Creative Success
On October 5, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) hosted a meeting with those students and representatives of sports teams, as well as cultural and creative groups, who achieved great success in 2016.
Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze, Head of the TSU Administration, Nunu Ovsianikova, students, administrative staff attended the event.
The Rector congratulated team leaders on their achievements and handed over certificates of appreciation to them.
In 2016, students of the Tbilisi State University achieved huge success in the fields of sport and culture. TSU Futsal Team successfully passed through the first qualifying round of the UEFA Futsal Cup and gained the right to play in the main round. For the first time in Georgia’s history, Georgian team will play in the main round.
In 2016 TSU’s basketball team won the Student League Championship.
TSU has been awarded Grand Prix for its success achieved in sport, cultural and intellectual competitions held within the framework of Student Days 2016.
