Presentation of Spanish Law Institute at TSU

A presentation of the Spanish Law Institute was held at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on July 8. The Spanish Law Institute was established under the Memorandum signed between the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Tbilisi State University.  

TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava said: “A consortium uniting seven universities was created today. The consortium opens up new opportunities for expanding the research in the field of law and engaging our university in this research that is yet another achievement by the Georgian school of law. It will be very important for our professors and lecturers, as well as for our students.”

“The Spanish Law Institute was established today under the agreement signed between TSU and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The Spanish Law Institute offers wide opportunities. It involves cooperation both in academic learning and research components and Spanish professors will actively participate in it. Moreover, the memorandum was signed to study transformation of modern constitutional state,” Joan Lluís Pérez Francesch, Professor of Constitutional Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, said.

The inter-university cooperation consortium unites Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy); University of Salento (Italy); Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain); University of Seville (Spain); University of Cádiz (Spain) and University of Barranquilla (Colombia).
