Presentation of a Monograph “The Land of Ani” (Historical - Geographical Study)
On December 26, at 4pm, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will host a presentation of the monograph “The Land of Ani” (Historical-Geographical Study) by Dr. Giorgi Cheishvili (publisher Artanuji; category: Georgia – Armenia 2, Tbilisi, 2017, 182 pages; editor Academician Davit Muskhelishvili).
For the first time in Georgian historiography, the book studies historical geography of Ani, discusses its administrative and ecclesiastical arrangement, as well as ethnic situation within the Kingdom of Georgia. Similar books promote determining the nature of Georgia’s Caucasian state and Georgian ownership on non-Georgian territories.
