2nd International Scientific Conference “History and Antiquities of the Highland of East Georgia”

The 2nd International Scientific Conference “History and Antiquities of the Highland of East Georgia” will take place at the winter resort of Gudauri (Georgia) on 27-29 January, 2017.
The Conference is organized by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Children and Youth Development Fund, and the Center of Young Scientists “Unknown Georgia”.
We welcome contributions that deal with history, historical geography, archaeology, epigraphy, art history, codicology, ethnology, numismatics, philology, demography and religion of the highland of East Georgia.
The participation of young scholars, postgraduate students and masters is positively encouraged.
Georgian, English and Russian are the working languages of the Conference. The time limit of presentations is 20 minutes.
One page abstract of no more than 500 words should be submitted to the Organizing Committee. The deadline for submitting proposals is 30 November, 2016. All abstract submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Organizing Committee based on how the paper relates to the overall conference theme, as well as on its originality. Decision about inclusion of the selected proposals into the Conference program will be sent out to the authors by 10 January, 2017. The final program of the Conference will be published online on 10 January, 2017.

The Conference will include a plenary lecture, the full range of academic sessions, and an excursion. 

Three nights of accommodation and meals during the Conference will be financed by the organizing Committee. The extra days’ accommodation and International travel costs will not be covered.
